It gives me immense pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all the stakeholders associated with the girls’ hostels, University of Kashmir in general and students residing in our hostels in particular. The hostel system of the University is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment that supports the academic pursuits and personal growth of our residents. We ensure that the hostel becomes a second home to boarders and we strive to create an atmosphere that promotes discipline, inclusivity, mutual respect, and holistic development.

We attribute great emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and maintaining a healthy living environment. The hostel administration works closely with wardens, staff, and student representatives to address concerns promptly and ensure smooth functioning of hostel life.

Our hostels are designed to ensure that students have full access to essential facilities and services that contribute to their well-being and academic success. Along with providing accommodation, we center our efforts on students to engage in cultural, intellectual, and recreational activities that dwell on building confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships.
